Seafood Festival Parade 2008

Everyone Loves a Parade

King Retsyo and his Festival Queen

Over the years, the Seafood Festival Parade, held on the Saturday of Seafood Festival, has become a favorite of locals and visitors alike. As you can tell by these photos from last year's parade, men, women and children of all ages love a parade, whether they are watching it from the sidelines or taking part in the parade.

Join us this year on Saturday, Nov. 7th all along Avenue E (Highway 98) from the traffic light at 12th street to downtown. Stake out a spot early because by 10 AM when the parade starts the curbs will all be filled two and three deep with eager parade watchers looking out for their favorite float, pageant queen or marching unit or just ready to catch some of the rain of candy and beads that the paraders toss to the watchers as they travel along the parade route.
