2010 Antique Boat Show

12th Annual Apalachicola Antique and Classic Boat Show

The weekend featured boat building demonstrations, art exhibits, a visit from the 1877 Schooner the Governor Stone, oyster tonging demonstrations by the Franklin County Seafood Workers Association, exhibts by The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve and The Apalachicola River Keepers.  Central to the show was, of course, the displays of antique wooden and classic boats, some hand built and some lovingly restored to their original beauty.  There was also a display of antique automobiles with Studabakers, Model A and T Fords and more.  The weather was perfect for the event and everyone appeared to be having a great time.

Apalachicola Antique and Classic Boat Show

The weekend of April 23 and 24 Apalachicola hosted the 12th Annual Antique and Classic Boat Show.

As usual the folks from the Apalachicola Bay Chamber did a fine job putting this event together.  If you missed this year's event, or have never been to one of these shows, make a note to not miss next year's show.
